Make up and prosthetics was the theme of the recent talk to the Rotary club of Macclesfield Castle members by Shaune Harrison. This was not just about face paint but more about 10 years and more of his work sculpting the faces and animals in films such as Captain America, Star Wars, The Mummy, The DaVinci Code, World War Z, The Avengers2 and Harry Potter films.
He said that he began his career making models of wear wolves and monsters in his bedroom on the Wirral and then wrote to film companies asking for a job. This turned up at Pinewood and worked on Star Wars , Phantom and many others. He now runs the Shaune Harrison academy of Prosthetic and Makeup training in Salford teaching students his art of making body and face casts.
