Sandbach Rotarians were to be seen around the town on the afternoon of 3rd December, assisting with the preparations for the annual Christmas Market.
Members of the club have been involved with marshalling and assisting stallholders to set up for a number of years. More than 100 stalls cover the Market Square, the High Street and the Little Common.
With a grotto constructed by the elves from the St Luke's Hospice Shop, Santa made a guest appearance later in the afternoon to the delight of many children. Rotarians were heard to comment on the remarkable likeness to Rotarian Adrian Ramsden.
One week later, Rotarians were donning their high-vis tabards again to help out at the Christmas Fair at Elworth Hall Primary School and in particular, to support the RotaKids club on their stall.
