Last week members of Stockport Lamplighter returned to the Norwood Trust, a not for profit home for fifteen adults with learning disabilities in Marple, to finish the decorating project started earlier in the year when they painted the lounge and dining room.

During this visit they painted the hall, landing and stairs in a delicate shade of peach with brilliant white paintwork.

Long term resident Callum Wilson, pictured here with them, was delighted with the choice of colours and thoroughly enjoyed chatting to the Rotarians.

The project was organised by Rtn Gordon Bennet, a retired professional painter and decorator, who managed to get all the materials at cost from Johnson Paints in Stockport.

It is hoped that money left from the initial costings will enable the Trust to buy a beautiful chandelier for the hallway.
