About 170 people with disabilities took part in our annual disabled sports day at Sutton Leisure Centre, near St Helens. Rotarians from across the district, led by Anita Unsworth, came to volunteer. Here are some quotes:-

"Today we hosted the District 1285 Disabled Sports Day. Fantastic day with lots of surprises, and personal bests" - St Helens Rotary

"Our District Disabled Sports Day was once again a great succes, plenty of Rotarian volunteers making sure that all participants had an enjoyable day." - Rotary Club of Golborne Lightshaw

"Had a great day at the D1285 Sport for the Disabled event at Sutton Leisure Centre yesterday. Me & fellow PDG Mike Wilson in charge of the New-Age Kurling. Tired at the end of the day but well worth it to see the enjoyment of the 170 or so people with various disabilities that took part." - PDG Derek Newman

"District disabled sports day what a great feel good event hosted by our friend at the Rotary St. Helens great event guys" - Phil Dyer - District PI team leader (One of Phil's video collations of the event plus more photos are viewable in the Rotaryonline article)
